Happy Independence to everyone! Our little twin island Republic has been through a lot and I am grateful our ancestors stood, fought and rallied for us. I remember the coup, and the genuine scare we had waiting for my mother to return home! My father paced the road, praying and crying when he didn't see her. I remember the relief we felt when she came off the maxi and ran to us covered in dirt. I remember when doubles $1 for one. I remember what I saw.

We now enjoy the freedoms they fought for, we play our national instrument that they were imprisoned for.

It is my prayer that we enjoy our freedom and exercise it for the good of our country and posterity.

The truth is, we often look back and think about our dads, and the silent but meaningful ways they affected our lives while we grew up not knowing what they did for us. Happy Father's Day to those superheroes ❤️❤️❤️
