We had to take this pic! Every Naps Girl in our Medical Village this morning...minus the few who might have been getting doubles 😂 I'm always moved by the enthusiasm of this younger generation! These ladies came out on a Sunday morning as early as 5am to support this community event geared towards cancer screening and awareness. Our future is surely in good hands. For many of us, she was more than a teacher — she was a mentor, a guiding light, and someone who shaped the lives of countless students over the years. Her patience, wisdom, and dedication left a lasting impression on everyone she taught.

In loving memory of Ann Seupaul-Dabideen

Naparima Girls' High School wishes to extend condolences to the children and family of a beloved past member of staff, Mrs. Ann Dabideen.

Mrs. Dabideen's ties to N.G.H.S. were steadfast and enduring. She began as a student here and went on to serve as Head Girl. In time, she returned to the school she loved, giving many years of distinguished service as an English teacher and school counsellor - a role which, in that era, predated the formal establishment of the position of Dean. She was truly a shining example of everything Naps stands for and has left behind a legacy that lives on through the countless lives she touched.

Students remember her as a kind and gentle soul, whose counselling room in the dormitory became a place they could always turn to. There, under her patient guidance, many came to understand themselves a little better, carrying the lessons she taught them long after they left her care. Her colleagues remember her as a compassionate, gracious, nurturing and soft-spoken friend who quietly went out of her way to make others feel valued and at ease. She took new members of staff under her wing, mentoring them with patience and genuine care as they settled into their roles.

Mrs. Dabideen always sought the absolute best for others, and her profound contribution to our school community and the lives of so many girls will never be forgotten. May her family be comforted and may she rest in peace.
