🌿🚌 Form 1 Science Field Trip – Ortinola Estate 🚌🌿

On Wednesday, June 10, the Science Department escorted our Form 1 students on an educational tour of Ortinola Estate. We extend our sincere thanks to Mrs. Nikita Nath and her family for their warm hospitality and for hosting our students.

The trip was supervised by Mr. D. Makan, Ms. R. Sukhu, Mrs. L. Ramlogan, Mrs. G. Harrypersad, Ms. Z. Ragbir and Ms. H. Jaggernauth.

Students learned about the rich history of Ortinola Estate dating back to the 1700s, explored the flora and fauna of Trinidad and Tobago, and enjoyed spectacular views of Piedra Blanca, which stands approximately 840 feet above sea level.

They also had the opportunity to experience the chocolate-making process firsthand.

This field trip was designed to demonstrate the practical applications of Science beyond the classroom, and deepen their appreciation for the natural environment, history, and culture of Trinidad and Tobago.

We thank everyone who contributed to making this educational experience a memorable and enriching success! πŸŒ±πŸ”¬πŸ« :::
