World Elder Abuse Awareness Day (June 15th) is an international observance aimed at spotlighting the issue of elder abuse, which includes physical, emotional, financial, and sexual harm, as well as neglect. Many cases go unreported due to fear, shame, or lack of awareness.
This day encourages communities, organizations, and individuals to recognize the signs of elder abuse and take action to protect the dignity and rights of all seniors everywhere.

Field trip time! The Environmental Club of SFWS (ECOS) and their peers took the time to visit 2 organizations that have been doing work to promote Environmental sustainability in their communities. 🌿
Their first stop was at the Cashew Gardens Community, Chaguanas where they learnt about hydroponics, composting, and recycling of plastics. ♻️
After an ice cream 🍦 and pizza🍕 break, the group visited the National Centre for Persons with Disabilities, San Fernando. There they saw how a 3D printer is operated and the Centre's gardening project. Thank you to Ms. Twila Dwarika and Mr. Dorian Cummings for taking the students on thid journey. It was a full and enjoyable day!
