📣 Cedar Grove Private School: Campus Health & Reopening Update 📣

We are pleased to provide a positive update regarding the temporary closure of our campus. Standing on a solid baseline of a general well-kept facility, our recent for-cause efforts are yielding excellent results, and we are ahead of our initial schedule.

While we previously communicated an estimated two-week closure, we are thrilled to report that we are currently on a trajectory to safely reopen school on Monday, June 15th.

Key Highlights from the Health Inspection:

Excellent Sanitary Standing: This morning, officials from the Penal/Debe Regional Corporation (PDRC)—including the Rodent Control Evaluator and Acting Supervisor Sanitation Overseer—conducted a thorough inspection of the campus.

Impeccable Facilities: The inspectors confirmed that our classrooms, IT Lab, Art Room, Multipurpose Room, PE room, and cafeteria are in good sanitary condition. They specifically commended the cafeteria’s layout for being well-structured to prevent any rodent harborages.

Proactive Prevention: As a standard precautionary measure, they supplemented the professional baiting initiatives already taken. This was successfully completed across all classrooms, staff areas, and administrative offices.

Next Steps

The PDRC is scheduled for a final follow-up inspection this Friday morning. We anticipate receiving official endorsement at that time to welcome students and staff back to a safe, healthy campus on Monday.

Thank you for your continued support and confidence as we prioritize the well-being of our school community.

📣Notice to our Cedar Grove Family📣

Early this morning, our mandatory pre-opening inspection revealed that despite a massive deep-cleaning effort over the weekend, the acute pest issue—caused by the recent clearing of the vacant lot opposite our school—remains active.

Out of an abundance of caution for the health and safety of our students and staff, we are now activating our Business Continuity Program, transitioning all students to remote learning starting tomorrow, Tuesday, June 9th.

While this temporary shift is a disruption, we believe it is the right call to ensure a 100% safe environment. We are tackling this aggressively by collaborating with the Ministry of Education and the Penal Regional Health Corporation, while bringing in additional top-tier specialists to fortify our campus boundaries permanently.

Moving forward, the Board is directly managing all communications to ensure you receive timely, accurate, and direct updates as we resolve this matter.

A separate communication will be sent to your email shortly containing detailed remote learning schedules, along with a reminder on how to easily log in and navigate Google Classroom.

Thank you so much for your understanding, patience, and unwavering partnership as we protect our school community.
