Today our nation celebrates Spiritual Baptist Liberation Day with joy, pride, and gratitude!

At our preschool, we honour the rich history, resilience, and faith of the Spiritual Baptist community. This special day reminds us of the importance of freedom of worship, cultural identity, and standing strong in our beliefs.

Our students learned about love, respect, and the beauty of our traditions through songs, stories, and creative expression. They enjoyed dressing up in traditional attire and learning more about the religion during our lesson. We were taught a traditional Sankey by one of our very own students who is Spiritual Baptist!

At Gillian’s Learning Academy, we appreciate the diversity of the multicultural society of Trinidad and Tobago!

Our students had a wonderful time learning about World Down Syndrome Day—a special day that reminds us that every person is different, and that’s what makes our world so beautiful. 🌈

From wearing our funkiest, most colorful socks 🧦 to sharing messages of love and acceptance, our little learners embraced the importance of being kind, respectful, and inclusive to everyone.
