๐Ÿ Welcome Aboard! ๐Ÿ’™๐Ÿ’›

The Mucurapo West Secondary family proudly welcomes Ms. Joel Young-Strong, a proud past student, and Mrs. Sojourner Hyles-Lewis, affectionately known as "Coach Suzie," as they join Ms. Gilbert in strengthening our netball programme.

Working collaboratively, these outstanding ladies will help our student-athletes develop the skills, discipline, and confidence needed to compete successfully in the upcoming Secondary Schools Netball League.

Both Ms. Young-Strong and Coach Suzie are former trainees of Ms. Gilbert and have generously volunteered their time and expertise as a way of giving back to the programme that helped shape their own journeys. They proudly acknowledge Ms. Gilbert's mentorship as a significant influence on their success.

Ms. Joel Young-Strong is a professional netball umpire who has officiated at numerous local, regional, and international competitions. Coach Suzie currently serves as the Head Coach of the Trinidad and Tobago National Under-16 Netball Team, bringing a wealth of experience and leadership to our programme.

We are truly honoured to have these exceptional women on board. Their knowledge, passion, and commitment will undoubtedly inspire our young athletes to strive for excellence.

Thank You for Your Overwhelming Support! ๐Ÿ’™๐Ÿ’›

The Mucurapo West Secondary School family extends our heartfelt gratitude to everyone who came out to support the first and second phases of the refurbishment and painting of furniture initiative.
Phase 1 started one month ago when our retired woodworking teacher, Mr. Jack led the refurbishment aspect of things. Over 100 desks were restored. This was done with the kind assistance of our former Principal, Mr. Taylor, alongside Ms. Sulieman, Mr. Sargeant, and the woodwork students.
Phase 2 was held yesterday, where we had a combined effort of all stakeholders who came out in their numbers to assist with the painting of the furniture.
At this juncture, we take time to express a special thank you to:
