🌿✝️ Corpus Christi Greetings ✝️🌿
On this sacred occasion of Corpus Christi, the St. Augustine Secondary School Community extends warm wishes to all.
In Trinidad and Tobago, Corpus Christi is both a religious and national observance. It is a Christian feast, mainly celebrated by Catholics, honoring the belief in the presence of Jesus Christ in the Holy Eucharist (Holy Communion).
For our nation, Corpus Christi has a special cultural significance because it is also associated with agriculture and community traditions. Many people use the day to:
Attend church services and processions.
Gather with family and friends.
Plant crops, vegetables, fruit trees, and flowers, as there is a long-standing local tradition that planting on Corpus Christi brings a good harvest.
Reflect on faith, gratitude, and blessings.
Historically, Corpus Christi became a public holiday during the colonial era due to the strong influence of the Catholic Church, and it remains one of Trinidad and Tobago's recognized public holidays today.
Many citizens, whether religious or not, appreciate the day as part of our national heritage and cultural identity.
✝️ The message of Corpus Christi is one of faith, unity, thanksgiving, and service to others—values that help strengthen families, schools, and communities throughout Trinidad and Tobago. 🇹🇹

The St. Augustine Secondary School PTA and School Community extend warm wishes to everyone for a Happy Indian Arrival Day. May we continue to embrace unity, respect, and appreciation for the rich cultural diversity that strengthens our nation.
Happy Indian Arrival Day! 🇹🇹🌺🙏🏽✨
Today, we commemorate the arrival of the first Indian indentured labourers to Trinidad and Tobago on May 30, 1845, aboard the Fatel Razack.
Their resilience, hard work, rich cultural heritage, traditions, values, and contributions have played a significant role in shaping the diverse and vibrant nation we proudly call home. Their legacy continues to inspire generations and remains an important part of our country's history.
As we celebrate this special occasion, we honour the sacrifices and achievements of our Indo-Trinbagonian brothers and sisters and recognize the lasting impact they have made in education, business, agriculture, religion, culture, and national development.

💚 FOOD DRIVE APPEAL – SUPPORT OUR CHILDREN IN NEED 💚
We are reaching out to anyone willing to open their hearts and help make a difference in the lives of children in need within our school community.
For some of our students, coming to school hungry is a daily reality—but with your help, we can change that.
We are asking for donations or contributions toward our food drive to assist families who need it most. Your support—no matter how small—can bring comfort, hope, and relief to a child.
A few grocery items. A simple contribution. A kind gesture. It all adds up to something meaningful.
Let us come together as one community, showing love, compassion, and unity. When we give, we are not just feeding children—we are helping them focus, grow, and succeed.
✨ Every contribution matters.
✨ Every act of kindness counts.
