Hey everyone✨

We also encourage *Year 1 and Year 2* Psychology students to attend, as this is a great opportunity to learn more about psychological research and academic presentations early in your degree as most you would also have to do either one of these courses: *PSYC 3025 or 3028*. However, the conference is *OPEN TO ALL* and we invite everyone to attend across all disciples.

Additionally, there will be a Roundtable Discussion titled “Who Are We Now? Psychology in the Age of Social Media Influence.”

Psi Chi invites you to attend our Annual Research Conference on April 9th, centered around the theme:

“Who Are We Now? Psychology in the Age of Social Media Influence.”

During this event, PSYC 3025 students will present their year-long research projects, showcasing their work and providing insight into the research process.

This conference will be particularly valuable for students who will be taking PSYC 3028, as the course also requires students to develop a semester long research proposal. Attending these presentations can help provide a clearer understanding of what to expect and how to approach the assignment.

Year 1 and Year 2 Psychology students are also strongly encouraged to attend as most of you will eventually complete either PSYC 3025 or PSYC 3028, and the conference offers an opportunity to gain early exposure to academic research, proposal development, and psychological discussion.

However, the conference is OPEN TO ALL, and we invite everyone across all disciplines to attend.

The event will also feature a Roundtable Discussion titled “Who Are We Now? Psychology in the Age of Social Media Influence,” where participants will explore the psychological impact of social media on identity, mental health, and relationships.

Students interested in participating in the roundtable discussion or debate segment are encouraged to reach out to Psi Chi for more information.

Self-Harm Awareness Day is a significant chance to raise awareness of a subject that is frequently misinterpreted. It seeks to increase awareness of the frequency of self-harm, the underlying emotional issues that cause people to injure themselves, and the ways in which we may provide empathy and support. This day raises awareness of mental health issues in the community, and serves as a reminder to individuals who are struggling that they are not alone. Self-Harm Awareness Day contributes significantly to the promotion of healing, hope, and connection by encouraging empathy and offering tools 🧡🧡.
