Meet our Manager

Mr. Navneet Boodhai
B.Sc. (Electrical Engineering)
MBA (Innovation & Entrepreneurship)

With over twenty years in the education and training sectors, Mr. Boodhai currently serves as Manager of the UWI Engineering Institute where he coordinates non-academic projects, consultancies, professional development courses & self funded programmes, industrial analysis & reporting, IP advisory services and other similarly aligned outreach initiatives of the Faculty of Engineering at the St. Augustine Campus. He also serves as a lecturer in Engineering Entrepreneurship, designed to support final year students in developing their ideas into startup businesses.

Prior to working at UWI, he served in several key management positions including Vice President Entrepreneurship & Business Development at UTT (2012-2017), Advisor to the Minister of Science, Technology & Tertiary Education (2010-2012), Workforce Development Consultant at Alutrint (2009-2010) and Manager Research, Planning & Development at the National Training Agency (2007-2012).

Mr. Boodhai has experience in institutional strategic planning, competency-based education and training systems, curriculum development, accreditation, labour market research and quality assurances. He has developed a number of national training interventions including apprenticeships schemes, prior learning assessment & recognition programmes and industry led work-based training, and has served in several regional, state and industry strategic planning committees.
