The administration of Roxborough Secondary School regretfully announces the postponement of our Form 1 orientation from Friday, September 4, 2026 to a date to be announced. We ask for your understanding as we seek to provide our teaching, office and auxiliary staff with the support needed in this time of mourning.

Form 1 students will report to school on Monday, September 7, 2026 along with the rest of the student body.

Form 1 students will be identified at the entrance gate where they will be directed to their classrooms to be greeted by form teachers. Hard copies of timetables will be distributed to students and digital copies will be shared with parents.

As we all gather to send off a great man, the embodiment of a fearless leader, we are asking that the Roxborough Secondary School past and present students represent us well.

Current students are asked to wear their FULL school uniform.

Past students are asked to wear purple inclusive of school t-shirts where possible.

Due to the funeral of our beloved Vice Principal Sir James, the first form orientation has been postponed from Wednesday 2nd September to Friday 4th September.

Our Jamesy, a man who always had Roxborough Secondary School in his heart and on his mind has left us today.

Our Vice Principal who made sure you felt heard, who made sure your ideas and feelings weren’t dismissed as trivial.

A literal man of the people who made students felt seen, heard and understood.

Always ready to laugh and lime but who worked hard and went beyond the call to make sure RSS was not left undone.

To say you will be missed does not even begin to explain how we at RSS are feeling.

The Principal; teaching, auxiliary and ancillary staff, the students, PTA and alumni have lost a great man and leader today. We extend our condolences to his family and his friends who grieve with us today.

Let us strive to live with Love and Service as Arlon James did.
