St. James Housing Scheme

The St. The Village is a historically significant cultural community. Tapia promises to educate, honour, inspire and entertain multiple audiences.

James Housing Scheme known as the Scheme, or more popularly, the Village was established in 1942 in the suburb of northwest Port-of-Spain, Trinidad, RTT, Caribbean. To commemorate the community’s milestone a four-event programme titled Tapia was created—designed for seniors, special families, school-aged children and others. The first of four events commences on July 30, and continues through to 21 October, 2017.

Pride In Action: Keeping A Clean Village

In a time when many wait for change, a few chose to create it.

We have noticed, some members of the Village without being asked have been cleaning the streets.

A reminder that community is not just where we live, but how we care for one another and the spaces we share.
Some residents gave their time and energy to make our surroundings cleaner, safer, and more welcoming for everyone.
We recognize and commend these individuals. Your initiative has not gone unnoticed. Thank You!
