It’s already a HAPPY 2023 🎊 as SurfTT is proud to announce that has awarded their 2022 ISA Scholarship Award to 28 youth surfers - 16 young men and 12 young women from 12 countries - and FOUR (4) of the twenty-eight hail from Trinidad & Tobago🇹🇹!!! 🙌🏽🎊🤙🏽✨

ISA President Fernando Aguerre established the ISA Scholarship Program in 2007 benefitting almost 400 surfers who show dedication to education and surfing. Fellow 2022 ISA Scholarship Award recipients are a diverse group from Iran 🇮🇷 , Venezuela 🇻🇪 , Senegal 🇸🇳 , Costa Rica 🇨🇷 , India 🇮🇳 , sister isle Jamaica 🇯🇲 , Brazil 🇧🇷 , Colombia 🇨🇴 , Dominican Republic 🇩🇴 , Chile 🇨🇱 and Uruguay 🇺🇾 , highlighting the ISA’s mission to expand the sport to new regions.

It’s a wrap! We are so proud of the efforts of our 🇹🇹 male surf reps & at the 🇨🇴 games! The youngest male competitors at the competition meant that they were in a space and place that gave them the opportunity for the long term preparation for SurfTT potential to grow, strengthen and evolve fully as National Surfers and inspiring for our potential and programme. Congratulations to Dwight Alfonso Pestrana Jr 🇵🇷, Josh Burke 🇧🇧 and Ricardo Delgado 🇵🇷! Also, big congrats to Isabella Gomez Brady 🇨🇴, Chelsea Tuach 🇧🇧 and Rosanny Alvarez 🇻🇪!

We are humbled and grateful by the support of 💪🏽🙏🏽🇹🇹🔥and look forward to this journey in National Pride in competitive sport discipline with our family.
