Immortelle Centre is Grateful to the OT Team!
Our students had a wonderful experience with the Occupational Therapist students during their stay with us, as you know.
Before leaving, Lauren the OT Facilitator and her team held a teacherâs workshop that was extremely beneficial and appreciated by all.
Thank you, Lauren and team, for sharing your expertise and making such a positive impact on both our students and staff!

The Trinidad and Tobago Regiment held a charity walk in observance of World Down Syndrome Day. This gesture was extended beyond the walk as it stands as a continued commitment to inclusion, care, and community upliftment for children with special needs.
The Immortelle Childrenâs Centre appreciates the Help and Support of the Trinidad and Tobago Regiment; funds from this charity walk were formally handed over by Commanding Officer Colonel D. Edwards to our Principal, Mrs. Afisha Lawrence.
Some of the men and women of the Regiment joined their Commanding Officer, Mrs. Lawrence and teachers of Immortelle Childrenâs Centre in the presentation.

On Motherâs Day our Students had the Joy of saying âThank You, Mummy!â Their beautiful handmade bouquets, big hugs & kisses expressed their Love. Looking on, we are reminded that the strongest therapy is Love, Patience, and Family.

Over twenty years ago, The Immortelle Childrenâs Centre became an overseas placement centre of the University of Toronto.
Since then we have had a number of students in their (OT) Occupational Therapy Masters Degree Programme, come to us, along with their supervisor, to do their placement.
We are thrilled to have them with us now. Our students, staff and families benefit tremendously from our collaboration. They assess and provide interventions with the aim of supporting studentsâ daily and school activities. This includes play, hygiene, handwriting, emotional regulation, and friendships. They will be with us until 8th May, 2026.
