Congratulations to and Tayrhen Lewis and Sanae Reece, representing their country proudly in the Goodwill championship swimming 2026, during the period 14-16 August 2026 at the National Aquatic Centre Balmain Couva.

Sanae and her teammates secured the Gold Medal for the Girls 11-12, 400m and silver 200m gold medal, and 200m bronze 🥇 🥈 🥉 Medley Relays, and freestyle relay respectively, at the Goodwill Championships!

Tayrhen Lewis and her teammates swam their hearts out and secured a third-place finish, a very challenging race. They earned Bronze Medals for the Girls 13-14, 400m and 200m 🥉 🥉 Medley Relays, respectively, at the Goodwill Championships!

Calling All BAHS Students

The Bishop Anstey High School Water Polo Programme invites all interested students to attend our Open Day and Introductory Tryouts.

While we look forward to welcoming our incoming Form 1 students, this opportunity is also open to current BAHS students in Forms 2–6 who are interested in joining the programme.

Eligibility:

Incoming Form 1 students: No prior swimming experience is required. We welcome beginners who are enthusiastic and eager to learn.
Current BAHS students (Forms 2–6): Students must be able to swim in order to participate in the programme.
Water polo is a dynamic team sport that develops fitness, discipline, resilience, leadership, and teamwork in a supportive and inclusive environment. Whether you are new to the sport or looking for a new challenge, we encourage you to attend and learn more about our programme.

🕛 Time: 12:00 p.m.
📍 Venue: Flying Fish Swimming Pool, Federation Park, Port of Spain

🏆❤️🖤 Champions! 🖤❤️🏆

The Form 1 BAHS Water Polo Team proudly presented their Republic Bank ASATT National Secondary Schools Water Polo League 2026 First Place Trophy to our Acting Principal, Ms. Boodhan, in celebration of their outstanding achievement.

The team was officially presented with their championship trophy and gold medals at the league's Awards Ceremony held last weekend, marking an incredible accomplishment for our young athletes.

The success didn't stop there! BAHS earned medals across the various age divisions, showcasing the depth of talent within our water polo team:

🥈 Under-14 Team – Silver Medalists
🥉 Under-16 Team – Bronze Medalists
🥈 Open Team – Silver Medalists

We are also proud to celebrate the outstanding individual achievements of two of our Form 1 young ladies:

Top Scorer – Form 1 Division: Gia-Marie Plaza
Best Goalie – Form 1 Division: Jaedyn Dumas

Congratulations to all of our athletes, coaches, parents and supporters on an exceptional season. Your dedication, teamwork, and perseverance have brought great pride to the BAHS family.
