We call it attention control. Allow your child to choose an activity that they are interested in. Encourage them to listen to the sound, touch the materials, smell the sents and then give you feedback. This encourages them to really put effort into those skills that build focus/ attention.

Is reading the problem? We incorporate reading into all of their activities. Children love to read about what they are interested in,so switch it up. The reading book is not the only book with words. Making reading fun in a comfortable environment can make all diffrence.
