📚 Reading ≠ Memorisation 📚

Reading the same book repeatedly often leads to memorisation, not reading.

Today, we switched up our books! New stories meant new words, new challenges, and a chance to use our blends, phonics knowledge, and reading rules.

A child reciting a familiar book is impressive. A child decoding and understanding an unfamiliar book is reading. 💡

Remember, comprehension matters just as much as the words on the page!

At Edugarden, we always say we do things a little differently. Our Junior Preschool, is all about building a solid foundation that not only supports academics, but also strengthens fine motor skills, phonics, independence, behaviour, and social development.
