✅Bettelheim (1903-1990), one of the most influential child psychiatrists of the 20th century, wrote in 1976 the work
"Psychoanalysis of Fairytale"
✅ In his view fairy tales were important for children's education.
✅Fairy tales have a liberating and formative role for the children's mind. By identifying themselves with the characters in the stories, children begin to experience feelings of justice, loyalty, love or courage in a free manner, not as impossed lessons, but as part of the adventure of living.

✅A children's story stimulates the imagination, it can contain moral values, teach and amuse at the same time. Bettelheim argued that fairy tales had a peculiarity: they talked about internal conflicts in a way that a child could understand even unconsciously.

✅Fairy Tales convey the message that fighting against life's difficulties is inevitable and that if you face them, you will be victorious.
