Today, August 31st, we proudly celebrate the Independence of Trinidad and Tobago, achieved on August 31, 1962.

As we raise our national colours and celebrate the rich culture, diversity and spirit of our twin-island nation, let us remember that independence comes with responsibility. It is our duty to build a country founded on unity, respect, tolerance, discipline and love for one another.

📢 UNIFORM UPDATE – EGYPT VILLAGE GOVERNMENT PRIMARY SCHOOL 🎒🏫

Dear Parents, Guardians and Members of the Egypt Village Community,
As you are already aware, Egypt Village Government Primary School will be introducing changes to our school uniforms. We would like to provide some additional information to clarify a few questions regarding the new uniforms.
👧🏽 GIRLS’ UNIFORM
• 🎀 The ribbons are BLACK in colour.
• 👗 The uniform fabric is DARK GREY.
• 🏫 The school logo will be embroidered on the LEFT SIDE of the overall.
• ❌ There is NO pocket on the overall.

👦🏽 BOYS’ UNIFORM
• 👔 The boys’ ties are BLACK in colour.
• Parents have the option of choosing either an elastic style around the neck or a traditional tie.

We hope this update helps to answer some of the questions and provides clarity as preparations are made for the new uniforms.
We thank all our parents, guardians and the wider Egypt Village community for your continued support, cooperation and commitment as we work together to make this transition a smooth one for our students. 💙

Today, we the people of Trinidad and Tobago come together to celebrate Emancipation Day, a day that marks the end of slavery in the British Empire on August 1, 1834. It is a time to honour the courage, resilience, and sacrifices of our African ancestors, whose strength and determination helped shape the nation we proudly call home.

Emancipation Day also reminds us of the importance of freedom, equality, respect, and unity. As we recognise our rich cultural heritage, let us encourage our children to learn from our history, appreciate the diversity of our people, and continue building a society rooted in compassion, understanding, and justice.

The presentation will showcase the male and female uniforms, highlighting both the current design and the new additions and enhancements. These updates have been thoughtfully introduced to provide a more modern, comfortable, and practical uniform while preserving the school's identity, traditions, and values.

The new uniform reflects:
1. A smart, polished appearance that promotes school pride.
2. Improved comfort and functionality for everyday learning.
3. Durable, high-quality materials suitable for active students.
4. A timeless design that honours the school's 75-year legacy while looking confidently toward the future.

This presentation celebrates not just a change in attire, but a renewed commitment to excellence, unity, and the continued growth of Egypt Village Government Primary School. As the school embarks on its next chapter, the new uniforms symbolize the pride, confidence, and bright future of every student who wears them.

The girl's uniform is a basic 2" pleated skirt all around. No box pleat. A zipper is added on the left side of the overall.

🏏 Celebrating Our Young Cricketers! 🌟

Congratulations to the students of Egypt Village Government Primary School who proudly represented our school at the Atlantic Community Cricket Programme Competition held on Thursday, 11th June 2026 at the Southwest Indoor Sports Arena, Egypt Village, Point Fortin.

Our students demonstrated outstanding sportsmanship, teamwork, determination and skill throughout the competition. We are especially proud of Terlia Charles, who earned the well-deserved title of 🏅 Best Fielder. What an incredible achievement!

A heartfelt congratulations to all our students for stepping onto the field, giving their very best and representing our school with pride. Your hard work and dedication continue to inspire us all.

Memory Lane Monday!! 🪻⚽️📚

Lets take a look back at some of the photos from the dedication ceremony at Egypt Village Government Primary that took place a little over a week ago. It has definitely brought all the emotions back.❤️📸

Looking through these memories fills my heart with so much happiness as I relive the special moments, the smiles, the pride and the love shared throughout the day. At the same time, there's a touch of sadness knowing that such a meaningful chapter has come to an end but it will be long remembered around every corner at Egypt Village Government.

These photos are a beautiful reminder of the people, experiences and memories that will always hold a special place in every Egyptian's heart. Today, we choose to remember, reflect and be grateful for every moment that made the dedication ceremony so unforgettable.
