Striving to bring about positive changes in students’ performance and approach to learning, and ultimately, adequately prepare them for the rigors of secondary school. Originally called the Mayaro Homework Centre (MHC), however due to extensive expansion it is now known as the O.M.M.M.G. (Ortoire, Mayaro, Mayaro Gov't, Mafeking, Guayaguayare Homework Centres). This project is an initiative of Shel

l (Trinidad) Ltd which started in 2012 with the objective to bring about positive changes in students’ performance and approach to learning, and ultimately, adequately prepare them for the rigors of secondary school. It is inclusive of all the primary schools in Mayaro and Environs: namely: Mayaro R. Primary, Mayaro Government Primary, Mafeking Government Primary and Guayaguayare R.C Primary.

HAPPY FATHER'S DAY‼️🎊🍾🍷❤️🎵🎉
The students of Mayaro Government Homework Centre had a meaningful and enjoyable Father’s Day activity, filled with creativity and enthusiasm.
Amid smiles and cheerful excitement, the children carefully designed handmade cards and thoughtful keepsakes as tokens of appreciation for their fathers and father figures, celebrating the important role they play in their lives.

The activity provided an opportunity for the students to express their love and gratitude while fostering creativity, cooperation and meaningful connections. It was truly a memorable and heartwarming experience for everyone involved.

🌱 Mafeking Homework Centre Celebrates Corpus Christi 🌱
Planting Seeds, Growing Traditions
As part of our commitment to preserving and sharing our rich cultural heritage, students of the Mafeking Homework Centre participated in a seedling-planting activity in observance of Corpus Christi.
This meaningful experience allowed students to learn about the longstanding tradition of planting on Corpus Christi, a practice embraced by many families throughout Trinidad and Tobago. Through hands-on participation, students gained a deeper appreciation for the values of faith, stewardship, agriculture, and community.

Students of Mafeking Homework Centre had an exciting and enjoyable experience at the CARIRI Workshop, where innovation, robotics, and creativity came to life. The students were highly enthusiastic, eager to participate, and fully engaged in the hands-on activities designed to prepare them for the future. Their excitement and curiosity were evident as they explored new technology, developed problem-solving skills, and learned about the importance of innovation in today’s world. It was truly an inspiring and memorable experience that motivated the students to dream bigger and embrace the endless possibilities of science and technology.
