Today in our Carnival Series, we spotlight our national instrument. The Steel Pan.
Born in Port of Spain, the steel pan is the only acoustic instrument invented in the modern era and a true symbol of the creativity and resilience of Trinidad and Tobago.
Its sweet sound is the heartbeat of Carnival and a source of national pride.

On this wonderful Sunday, we celebrate Calypso Monarch and highlight calypso; the true sound of the people. From Trinidad and Tobago to the world, calypso continues to tell our stories, uplift our voices, and move our spirits. Today we honor the rhythm, the message, and the legacy.

Happy International Day of Education from the Ministry of Education.
Education is the foundation of progress. As key beneficiaries of education, our young people play an active role in shaping their own learning journeys. Through student leadership, volunteerism and self-directed, AI-supported learning, students are taking ownership of their place in the world and stepping boldly into the future.
At the Ministry of Education, we remain committed to empowering students both inside and outside the classroom as they pursue resilient, future-ready educational pathways.

Merry Christmas to all and to all a good night 🙏🏻🌲🎅
Nativity Scene - Beach Camp School Play of yesteryear.
St. Benedict's College football team is currently in Guyana for the KFC Goodwill Football tournament. The boys have supervised sessions where they focus on their studies as well. They also took time out to go and see the lights of the Christmas Village and the Zoo.
Another highlight of their tour was a courtesy call on Bishop Francis Alleyne in Georgetown, Guyana.
Bishop Francis, who is originally from South Trinidad and once served as a monk at Mount St. Benedict, warmly welcomed and entertained the team.
During his address, the Bishop spoke to the boys about vocations, passion, and commitment, encouraging them to give their best in everything they do—especially in sport. He urged the students to develop themselves holistically, placing strong emphasis on nurturing their spiritual life, which can sometimes be overlooked.
THIS is why we continue to choose St. Benedict's College for our boys. Past student Jelani Scott is on this tour and performing very well. Good luck to the team and best wishes to our boys!!!
