The Tobago Hospitality and Tourism Institute (THTI) was founded in 1997 to address the need for trained professionals in the growing tourism and hospitality industries and for Trinidad and Tobago to compete in a globally competitive market. This allowed the alignment of courses with those taught at other institutions throughout the region, facilitating seamless transfer of students between touris
m training organizations, and more importantly, offering a wider, range of opportunities for employment. About the THTI
The Tobago Hospitality & Tourism Institute is located in Mount St. George, Tobago, just north of the picturesque Hillsborough Bay. The sprawling campus sits on 100-acre scenic estate of pristine forest land that once formed part of the Mount Saint George Estate and Sugar Works plantation. Historic ruins of the sugar mill, machines and water wheels, storage basins and dam are located north of the Campus, a short trek down from the aptly named Top O’ the Mill Restaurant and Bar.
