🧩Puzzle time 🧩 at our Montessori Toodler Studio . Puzzles challenge a child's motor skills, cognitive problem solving, understanding of the environment, and emotional development. The physical experience of assembling a puzzle enhances a child's eye-hand coordination and fine motor skills.

Transferring is a staple activity in the Montessori classroom. Students develop their fine motor skills, focus, and concentration while transferring small objects from one bowl or small container to another. It also helps strengthen the pincher grasp ( the coordination of the index finger and thumb)

The Binomial Cube, a material from the Sensorial area of the classroom, indirectly introduces (a + b)³ to the child.
(a + b)³ might not typically be a concept one would think could be presented to the young child, but Montessori felt differently. This mathematical thought is presented in a concrete, visual way through the Binomial Cube.

“Sensorial activities are used in Montessori learning to help children in discrimination and order. They also help broaden and refine a child’s senses. When a child combines Montessori designed materials with sensorial work, it helps them become more logical, perceptive, and aware.

Dr. Montessori developed the concept of sensorial work long before sensory play was put into practice. In Montessori philosophy, the child is considered the “sensorial explorer” and learns to perceive qualities through sensorial experiences”
