Trinidad and Tobago Child Care Training Academy The TTCCTA is committed to raising the standard of childcare throughout the nation To my dismay all the centers that I visited were below par to say the least.

Having returned to Trinidad in 2015 after living abroad, I would have embarked on a fervent search for a Child Care facility for my 15month old son. My husband and I owned a small business at that time which would not allow me to be a stay at home mom. After much research and many site visits to daycares in the country, I realized that the problem lay in lack of training for providers and by exten

sion the standard of childcare was much to be desired. Shortly after, I enrolled in a London University to get myself adequately trained in the field. It was a long journey and after many sleepless nights, consults with governing bodies, and even participation in a local childcare program as exploration, in 2018 the Trinidad and Tobago Child Care Training Academy was birthed and introduced its first Early Childhood Care and Development Program. Its sole purpose was to raise the standard of training in the nation for caregivers so all children could be afforded safety and priority when in their care. Our school has been successful in its quest, turning out students who have opened and now own and operate dozens of facilities that provide quality care to all children in their charge. To date, our institute has now evolved becoming a Professional Self Development Consultancy providing Certification in ECCD & ECCE Classroom Management and workshops in Special Educational Needs, Trauma & Attachment, Grief Counselling, Emotional Intelligence and Conflict Resolution. In recent times officials from the American Heart Association has partnered with us to reinforce our ECCD program offering an International Certificate in First Aid/CPR/AED. With the coming of new programs also came the addition of new team members. We now boast a full staff of facilitators including:
An Emotional Intelligence Practitioner
A Medical officer
An TTPS officer formerly attached to the Child Protection Unit and now the Inter Agency Task Force
A Child Care and Special Educator Trainer
An Internal Verifier
A Student Support Person
Because our organization believes that well rounded individuals make a better community we have entered into partnership with other organizations to help achieve the Sustainable Development Goals. In so doing, over the years we have been involved in charitable ventures as part of the outreach program and our school has become known for our philanthropic enterprise. Going forward we hope to continue to inspire minds, change futures and build a better nation. Today, we’re incredibly grateful to share that the Trinidad and Tobago Child Care Training Academy , Rams Fight Club and The Stitches of Faith Project were able to award three academic scholarships, each valued at TT$925, to deserving students in Standards 3, 4, and 5 within our community.

These scholarships provide free access to our academic programme, supporting these children as they strengthen their skills in Mathematics, English Language Arts, and Creative Writing, while giving them the chance to learn, grow, and believe in themselves without financial barriers standing in their way.

Every child deserves the chance to succeed, and we are honoured to play a small part in helping make that possible. Thank you to everyone who continues to support our mission. Because of you, we are able to create opportunities that inspire confidence, encourage learning, and help shape brighter futures, one child at a time. ❤️

We are proud to partner with Rams Fight Club and The Stitches of Faith Project to bring Trinidad and Tobago's first Inclusive Kickboxing Programme to life.

For a long time, parents have been sharing the same concern: they wanted their children to experience the confidence, discipline, and joy that kickboxing can bring, but knew a traditional, fast-paced class wasn't the right fit.

Through this partnership, children will have access to an Inclusive Kickboxing Programme led by experienced coaches working alongside trained and experienced special educators. Every participant will receive an individualized training plan, with sessions adapted to meet each child's unique strengths, needs, and pace.

Because inclusion isn't about expecting children to fit the programme—it's about creating a programme that fits the child.
