'Loving Time with the Elderly' - a termly service project at LSSPS
Each term, at LSSPS, our students are engaged in a selected termly service activity, aimed at practicing the value of Love.
Last term, our service project was a most touching one - Sharing the gift of time with the 'Wings of Care' home for senior citizens, located in our school community of Longdenville.
The children presented messages of love, recited poetry, and toured the facility while engaging in conversation with the home's residents, bridging the gap between children and elders.
The elders at the home graciously shared loving advice to all the children and were most happy to receive their gift of time. The parent community also contributed to food hampers which were delivered to the home during the visit.
Service projects in the past include presentations to the community Animal Shelter, and food hamper and meal distributions.

Pupils of all classes had a fun time playing with the colours of abeer powder, celebrating the vibrancy of spring and enjoying happy times with schoolmates and teachers. The music of Phagwa also accompanied the occasion.
Snow cones were also enjoyed by many, courtesy the Parent Support Group.
