What is CVQ Certification?
The Caribbean Vocational Qualification (CVQ) is a competency-based certification that proves a person has the practical skills, knowledge and attitude required to perform a specific job or occupation.
Caribbean Examinations Council
It is based on industry occupational standards approved across CARICOM and awarded by the Caribbean Examinations Council (CXC).

In Trinidad and Tobago, CVQ programmes are coordinated by the National Training Agency of Trinidad and Tobago (NTA) through TVET institutions and secondary schools.
