It is unfortunate to hear Prof. Johan Galtung passed away today!
Johan Galtung pioneered peace and conflict research and was one of the founders of the International Peace Research Association (IPRA). I was fortunate to meet and interact with him during IPRA conferences, mainly when I was IPRA co-Secretary General.

I attached some of our photos with Galtung taken during the IPRA Conference in Istanbul.

Prof. Galtung, thank you for contributing to this world; you inspired us a lot, and we will miss you.

He will always remain in the hearts of peace researchers.
His legacy will live forever in academia.

My deepest condolences to his family, peace research community and academia.
