When it comes to purples, we don’t have many options in the natural dyeing world: Lac is a good one 😉💜

It’s made from the secretion of Laccifer lacca bug (not the bug itself) and has good fastness qualities.

Since it’s an extract in powder form not dried whole lac sticks, you can dye a lot with just a pinch.

Mordanlama kitlerimizin ne işe yaradığından pek çok kez bahsettik, bu kez de gösterelim dedik.

Yün ve tiftik karışımı ipimizi örnek olarak bir miktar ördük ve sonra yün mordanlama kitindeki reçeteye göre mordanladık. Ardından Kerria lacca böceğinin salgısından elde edilen ‘lac’ ile boyadık. Bu, alttaki örnek. Üstteki ufak parçayı ise aralarındaki farkı size göstermek için hiçbir ön işlem uygulamadan boyaya attık. Sonuç: mordanlanmış olan çok daha doygun bir şekilde boyandı.

Bu yüzden doğal boyamada mordanlama basamağı, boyamadan çok daha önemli diyecek kadar ileri gidebiliriz. Mordanlama kitlerimiz dükkanda, link aşağıda.

Yün mordanlama kitindeki yönlendirmeleri takip ederek uygulayacağınız ön işlem sayesinde, doygun ve kalıcı boyamalar yapabilirsiniz. İster bizim GOTS sertifikalı ekstrakt saflığındaki boyalarımızla, ister kendi topladığınız ya da mesela mutfak artıklarından biriktirdiklerinizle.
