Mugla University is a comprehensive public university that has adopted the universal principles of education with foundations in scientific autonomy, liberal secularism, and democracy. In the light of these principles, sharing the national responsibility for building a brighter and happier future is the fundamental cause of existence for Mugla University. Mugla University is committed, not only to good teaching directly linked to the needs of students, but also to quality research and technology, in order to reach international standards; thus, contributing to the exchange of knowledge and academic ideas between its country and the rest of the world. Mugla University is aware of the act that economic development; and therefore, peace and prosperity are only possible with well educated individuals who are competent, innovative, intellectual, and skilful.
