Hi dears!
We noticed that didn't tell you story of our foundation. Now we decided to correct it. Well, story is long, so take your cup of tea)))
We started working on creating of a new approach to learning Russian language in 2013. The starting point was a conversation in a cafe (not very usual for a language school))), when our founder Xeniya Dilek met her international friends in Almaty, Kazakhstan. Russian is a communication language in Kazakhstan, so expats need to speak Russian to be able to live. Those people were from Turkey, Britain and France, and they all have difficulties in learning Russian.
The reasons of difficulties in learning Russian were common*:
β’ It is a difficult language with a lot of rules and much more exceptions;
β’ System they used explained very detailed grammar;
β’ Programs were long (average program is 8 months), nobody had so much patience;
β’ Books were full of texts, tables, words, but sooo boring! No pictures, topics were about Soviet Union and student life;
β’ In the end they still couldn't collect all rules and words in one conversation!
*Of course, maybe some of them were just not hardworking enough))
After this conversation we decided to make absolutely new Russian language course - short, bright and joyful!
It is still on-going process, but in 5 years we made good results! Our students speak and continue learning Russian. So, what we did:
β’ We don't explain all difficulties of Russian language. We take only rules we use in daily communication
β’ We use grammar to understand and to be understood - not to be an academics
β’ We made all parts of the program shorter without quality loss - now Elementary level can be finished in 22 lessons!
β’ We made funny slides, sound materials and video files, we created quizzes to make the learning process enjoyable.
β’ Our first goal - to make our students speak without a fear of making mistake. We destroy language barrier and play with the phrases, systematically improving speaking skills!
Now physically we are located in Istanbul, but we provide online services as well.
