The Turkish past tense.

The basic order is:

verb + past tense suffix + person ending

The past tense suffix changes according to vowel harmony:

-dı / -di / -du / -dü

After p, ç, t, k, f, h, s, ş, the letter d changes to t:

-tı / -ti / -tu / -tü

Examples:

gel + di + m = geldim
I came.

iç + ti = içti
He/she drank.

bak + tı = baktı
He/she looked.

How do you make a yes-no question in Turkish?

You add the question suffix:
"mı, mi, mu, mü"

Examples:
"Bu bir ev"
"Bu bir ev mi?"

"Bu bir araba."
"Bu bir araba mı?"
