"MOBILE APPLICATIONS TO EASE LEARNING FOR STUDENTS"

The project was initiated to respond to the needs of our students to acquire and improve their know-how in terms of developing mobile applications, a skill which they will use even after the school years, no matter what careers they may choose to follow. The teachers from Greece, Poland, Romania and Turkey are taking part in the Transnational Project Meeting (13th -17th May 2019) in Istanbul, Turkey. The aim of this visit is to evaluate and summarise the project as well as prepare the final report. Even though the project is on the home straight, the school representatives are working towards its sustainability so that new students can benefit from our knowledge of creating mobile apps.

GOOD JOB! WE MADE IT!
We developed two final apps for school purposes.
The first one is called "Find out”. It simplifies school tasks so that they can be individualised and performed quickly and accurately. The second one is called “Hit-or-miss”. It gives a single, unusual word with a short definition in order to enrich and improve English vocabulary.
Unfortunately, it was our last day in Komotini. For that reason, we had to evaluate our meeting. During the farewell party, all participants were given the certificates of attendance. The Europass docs were also completed.
It was a great adventure!

Using creative visual content is one of the best ways to boost engagement! That's why, we continued our workshops with pleasure. Moreover, we turned a smartphone into a 3D hologram and observed the sky in the school planetarium.
But the afternoon visit to Xanthi stole our hearts. The old town was marvellous!

We hit the ground running! On Wednesday we summarised the workshops which were held in Poland (C1), Romania (C2) and Turkey (C3). After that, we started creating our final applications for school purposes. The Polish students acted like ICT instructors. The new generation of teachers is growing up! Well done!
In the afternoon, we played "treasure hunting" and visited the Orthodox church.

The Poles, Romanians and Turks were welcomed with open arms by the Greek host. After the opening ceremony, all the Erasmus+ participating countries showed their multimedia presentations, took part in ice breaking games and experienced cultural events. Visits to the Archeological and Folklore Museums were planned for the afternoon. It was such a wonderful day!

Studying in a multicultural environment is fun! What's more, it gives members a greater understanding of others beliefs, attitudes, and behaviors.
On Wednesday we continued our workshops on creating apps for school purposes.
In the afternoon, we went sightseeing. Our must-see list included the Topkapı Palace Museum, Hagia Sophia and the Grand Bazaar!
