MEF International School Izmir

A birthday celebration was held at MEF International Schools, Izmir for the students who were born in May. All the students enjoyed the celebration in the garden.

The primary swim team at MEF International Schools, Izmir had a fantastic day at the friendly swim meet hosted by Işıkkent School!

Students showed excellent teamwork, determination, and sportsmanship while proudly showcasing their swimming skills. Well done, swimmers!

Reception class at MEF International Schools, Izmir visited the local Fire Station. They met real firefighters and learnt all about their roles. They learned about the different parts of a fire engine and the equipment firefighters use. They also tried on a firefighters helmet and got to use the hose.

Grades 3 and Grade 4 students at MEF International Schools, Izmir proudly participated in the First Lego League Explore Festival. This year’s theme, UNEARTHED(TM), invited teams as junior archaeologists to help solve mysteries about the past using LEGO® technology. Students demonstrated excellent innovation and creativity in the design and construction process of their team models and were recognized with the Innovative Design Award.

Kindergarten students at MEF International Schools, Izmir did an incredible job hosting the Primary Assembly! Looking fabulous in lab coats they took on the role of scientists to host a mini science fair, where they demonstrated experiments exploring push and pull forces. The visitors were challenged to observe each experiment keenly, think about which force was being used and then note down their observations. Kindergarten students did a wonderful job explaining their experiments and what they were doing in their own words!

Grade 1 students at MEF International Schools, Izmir practised finding pitches on different instruments, helping them develop their listening skills and deepen their understanding of how music can be performed across various musical settings.

The ‘Capture the Flag’ House Competition at MEF International Schools, Izmir took place during lunchtimes over the past few weeks, organised by our House captains. All teams played extremely well and Troy took home the victory in the end!
