The 8th International Undergraduate Symposium offers you an academic platform to present your ideas about “Culture, Literature, and Games.” If you want to share your ideas and prepare a presentation on the subject, we are happy to warmly welcome you. Moreover, the symposium will provide you with the opportunity to develop your social and communicative skills, as well as expand your perspective on the concept of “games” in culture and literature. In short, we will exchange ideas, have debates and gain experience in a friendly atmosphere.
Here is a list of potential topics which may inspire you!

♦Representation of Ethnicities / Genders / Identities in Games
♦Games and Psychology / Sociology / Politics / Anthropology / Economy
♦Philosophy / History / Culture of Games
♦Games and Realities / World-building / Space, Time & Action
♦Games and Arts / Comics / Religion / Mythology
Take your time and remember that you are free to present any idea that can relate to the concept of “games” in culture and literature. Organised by the undergraduate students of English Language and Literature and American Culture and Literature Departments, the three-day symposium will be held on 9-10-11 May 2018, at the Faculty of Letters, Ege University, Izmir/Turkey. In order to participate, all you have to do is submit a 200-word abstract and a short biography (about 50 words) to [email protected] by February 12, 2018. Abstracts will be reviewed by the academic screening committee and we will inform you about the results no later than 30 March 2018. Please keep in mind that your presentation should not exceed 15 minutes.

The 7th International Undergraduate Symposium offers you an academic platform to present your ideas about “DREAM.” If you want to share your ideas and prepare a presentation on the subject, we are happy to warmly welcome you. Moreover, the symposium will provide you with the opportunity to develop your social and communicative skills, as well as expanding your perspective on the “dream” concept. In short, we will exchange ideas, have debates and gain experience in a friendly atmosphere. Here is a list of potential topics which may inspire you!

So we decided to change the due date and give you the opportunity to send them until 7th of February which means the date we release the results may also change without any certainty at the moment.
