As the academic year comes to end, we are also closing “English Speaking Club”.💯✔️

We had such a great time organizing, moderating it and discussing on interesting topics! We thank everyone who came to our speaking clubs deeply 🤗 It would have been impossible without you.

We will continue our English Speaking Club from next semester and might add other language clubs if there’s enough demand 😉🤓

We wish you good luck on your exams and hope to see all of you more in the future events! 😍🤩🥳

İyi bayramlar!
As this academic year is coming to the end, we’d like to announce that we will hold presidential elections on May 16th! All candidates must be from the Faculty of Political Science, and the deadline for candidates’ registration is May 6th, you can directly contact us for application :)
After May 6th, candidates will have 10 days for propaganda 😊

İyi akşamlar herkese 🙌🏻🙏🏻

On 6th of April, we organised a speaking activity at Revolution Café of Revolution Dil Okulu.
We have discussed about the common challenges international students face adjusting to a new academic and social environment, culture-shock or language barriers, homesickness and other difficulties in fully engaging in university life.

Discussion was successfully completed with international students from 7 different countries and local students.

It was our first event outside of the campus and was great to see new faces. We will be having public events like this in the future, we’ll keep you updated 🙂

Good afternoon friends :)

As "International Students Club" of Istanbul University, we are co-organizing a very interesting Talk session with Revolution Dil Okulu in Maltepe. The event will be held in April 6th from 16:00 to 18:00.

Students coming to the university from other countries and cultures often face special challenges in their efforts to thrive. Challenges may include, for example: adjusting to a new academic and social environment; culture-shock or language-barriers; finding companions of one's own religion, language, or culture; homesickness; encounters with prejudice; or other difficulties in fully engaging in university life.

The program is meant to allow international students to discuss their concerns, challenges, etc. in a safe, group setting. Students can talk about a variety of issues from cultural adjustment and academic adjustment, to navigating a large city. Discussions are facilitated by the psychologist of Revolution Dil Okulu to ensure that every participant is receiving equal respect and that the environment remains non-judgmental.
