Sergi, Stern’ün geleneksel resim süreçlerini avatarlar ve sanal dünya inşasına duyduğu ilgiyle birleştirdiği süregelen üretiminin devamı niteliğini taşıyor.

, ayrıcalıklı bir yaşamdan kaynaklanan önemsiz dertleri ya da “birinci dünya” sorunlarını tanımlamak için kullanılan bir deyime [champagne problems] esprili bir gönderme yapıyor. Sergi, sanatçının 2024 yılında İstanbul’a yaptığı ve kentin canlı mutfak ve misafirperverlik kültürüyle ilk kez karşılaştığı ziyaretten güçlü bir biçimde besleniyor. Bu deneyimlerden yola çıkan eserler, hayali, gösterişli ve fantastik bir akşam yemeği sahnesini, belki de rastgele seçilmiş bir yeni yıl arifesinde gerçekleşen bir daveti çağrıştırıyor. Bu masada, Stern’ün genişletilmiş evreninden, daha önceki işlerinde de karşımıza çıkan iskelet Skott ve sentor Buttercup gibi karakterlerin yanı sıra, ilk kez bu sergide görülen yeni figürler yer alıyor.
