The Independent Art and Culture Organization: “Illustrative Today”
Illustrative Today is an independent art and culture organization, which is founded by Saeed Ensafi and Sahar Bardaie in January 2015 in Istanbul. The organization started its activities in two sections: “Illustrative Today School” and “Illustrative Today Gallery” with an exhibition of works of the world's best illustrators, which
was curated by Sahar Bardaie. The organization has been founded in the field of fine arts, the branch of contemporary illustration, with the aim of enhancing the quality of artistic, cultural, and literal pictorial resources and has been teaching long-term courses of illustration independently.
“Saeed Ensafi's Fine Arts Studio” started its professional activities in Tehran in 2006 as one of the most influential independent studios by holding long-term illustration courses, workshops consisting of renowned Iranian and foreign artists, artist talks, joint projects, exhibitions and offering thesis council for students of different universities. In 2012, Saeed Ensafi and Sahar Bardaie expanded their educational activities in Istanbul by founding “Stuido Dou”. Furthermore, from mid-2013, considering the lack of independence and concentration in academic teachings, they were thinking about founding an organization with the aim of teaching contemporary illustration in a concentrated and technical manner, which led to the foundation of Illustrative Today. This organization is currently continuing activities similar to its
previous ones but in an expanded manner and has created a professional atmosphere for Art students and graduates who are seeking an independent and professional educational atmosphere and intending to work in this field in a concentrated manner.
