FSMVU was pleased to host Prof. Elżbieta Broniewicz and Prof. Mirosław Broniewicz from Bialystok University of Technology under the Erasmus+ KA131 Staff Training Mobility program.

During their visit, our Civil Engineering Department had the opportunity to exchange knowledge, share experiences, and strengthen academic cooperation between our institutions.

The real value of NAFSA lies beyond the exhibition halls and meeting rooms. It is found in the conversations, shared experiences, and friendships built across continents.

Today brought the opportunity to connect with colleagues and partners from Malaysia, Ireland, Italy, the United States, Portugal, the United Kingdom, Taiwan, and Saudi Arabia. Different cultures, different perspectives, but a common commitment to advancing higher education and creating opportunities for students worldwide.

At NAFSA, we went beyond networking to gain deeper insights into the evolving landscape of international higher education 🌍

Through pre-conference sessions, we explored key topics shaping the future of global engagement:

-Recruiting International Students. Understanding market trends, identifying high-growth regions, and refining strategies to reach diverse student populations
-Assessment and Evaluation of Partnerships. Learning how to build sustainable collaborations, align partnerships with institutional goals, and implement effective evaluation frameworks

These sessions provided valuable data-driven perspectives and practical approaches that will strengthen our internationalization efforts moving forward.

Attended sessions on Community Colleges, networking and professional connections, Global North–South Partnerships, and leadership in higher education.

It was inspiring to exchange ideas with colleagues and university leaders from Spain, Portugal, the USA, Italy, Egypt, South Korea, Saudi Arabia, and Greece while proudly representing Fatih Sultan Mehmet Vakif University.
