When you want to greet your friend:
A: Merhaba. Nasılsın? (How are you?)
B: İyiyim. Sen nasılsın? (Fine , how are you?)
A: Ben de iyiyim. Teşekkürler. (I'm fine, too. Thanks.)

When you see an elder person, or somebody that you want to show respect to or keep distance with, you can use this formal question to greet them: "Nasılsınız?" "How are you?"
A: Nasılsınız? (How are you?)
B: İyiyim. Teşekkür ederim. Siz nasılsınız? (I'm fine, thank you. And you?)
A: Ben de iyiyim. Teşekkürler. (I'm fine, too. Thanks.)

"Merhaba" is a very basic way of greeting. It means "hello, hi". And this is how you can intruduce yourself:
A: Merhaba, ben Alper. ( Hello, I'm Alper.)
B: Merhaba, ben Elif. ( Hello, I'm Elif.)
A: Memnun oldum. ( Nice to meet you)
B: Ben de memnun oldum. ( Nice to meet you, too)
