The first two papers of the Dialog/Διάλογος/Diyalog/Dialogue Paper Series have just been published online.
1. "Avoiding Disaster in the Eastern Mediterranean: A Latent Tension Index for Greek-Turkish Relations" by Giannis Houlis, Selin Siviş and Marius Mehrl
2. "The Missing 50%: Women in Trust-Building, Crisis Diplomacy and Conflict Prevention, Management and Resolution in Greece - Turkey Relations" by Yvonni-Stefania Efstathiouand Polen Türkmen
This joint effort by the Center for International and European Studies (CIES) at Kadir Has University; the Department of International, European and Area Studies at the Panteion University of Athens, and Friedrich Naumann Foundation - Turkey, is aimed to encourage and support young Turkish and Greek scholars, analysts, journalists and others to develop and write together a research/policy paper which highlights an area of common ground and cooperation between Greece and Turkey.

If you are from Greece or Turkey, aged between the ages of 20 to 40 or thereabouts with an interest in Greek-Turkish relations, foreign policy and security issues, NATO and other related subjects, please to do hesitate to apply to join us in Athens on 24-27 November for the 8th Greek Turkish Young Leaders Symposium (GTYLS) -- the first in person in two years!
The GTYLS is an initiative of the CIES in partnership with the Navarino Network - a policy lab, the Friedrich Naumann Foundation - Turkey, and with the co-sponsorship of NATO's Public Diplomacy Division.
The Deadline for Applications is Monday, 1 November 2021

If you are from Greece and Turkey aged between 18 and 40 years old, please consider applying to join us in the novel online "Media Literacy and Disinformation Workshop" for Turkish and Greek Young leaders to be held on 25-27 October between 18:00 and 21:00 each day...The workshop is initiative of the CIES and Friedrich Naumann Foundation - Turkey. It is designed though the collaborative efforts of academics from Kadir Has Üniversitesi, PANTEION UNIVERSITY and Πανεπιστήμιο Αθηνών - University of Athens, bringing together experts, fact checkers, and media professionals from both countries.

The "Turkey as a Partner and a Challenge for European Security project" is a joint initiative by the Center for International and European Studies at Kadir Has University, the International Relations Council of Turkey (IRCT), the Institute of International Relations at Panteion University of Athens funded by the Centre for Applied Turkey Studies (CATS) at Stiftung Wissenschaft und Politik (SWP) in Berlin. It seeks to explore the state of relations between the EU and Turkey by focusing on a number of thematic security-related areas of mutual interest through the publication of a number of joint research papers as well as the production of a policy report. The novelty of the project is that it is exclusively composed of Turkish and Greek academics and analysts that are working together provide a fresh perspective on the EU-Turkey relationship.
