European countries, and their universities, are of course all very different – in terms of language, lifestyle and living costs. However, under the Bologna Process, European universities are working to standardize degree systems.

European Countries built highly instructed and centuries-old educational institutions, which always seek providing their students with both skilled knowledge, and comfortable studying and living conditions that help them reach their career effectively. European universities provide thousands of programs from state-accredited institutions across Europe, both in pure science i.e. engineering, mathematics, and the humanities.
Requirements for international students in Europe vary from country to country and can be dependent upon where you come from. To help answer students' questions about education in Europe, we've put together a series of Education Guides for countries throughout Europe.

There are different application deadlines for EU and non-EU students. If you are a non-EU student who applying for a State university, neither a Foundation university, it is recommended to start your application for studies in Europe at least one year in advance in order to meet all the deadlines.

In Europe, Higher education study programs are categorized per cycles which follow the European Higher Education Area guidelines, i.e., first cycle programs = bachelor's degrees; second cycle programs = master's degrees; and third cycle programs = PhD degrees.
European universities apply the ECTS system, which lets you understand your study workload. In other words, the ECTS system define the graduation system, In which one school year equals 60 ECTS. For graduation: First cycle programs (bachelor )are worth 180 - 240 ECTS; second cycle programs (second cycle programs (master)are worth 60 - 120 ECTS; while third cycle programs (PhD) don't have a specific ECTS range.
In Europe, you can study in the language of your preference. Europe is the cradle to some of the most important languages in the world. European higher education institutions offer a wide variety of study programs in different languages, such as in English, Spanish, French, German, Italian, Polish, or Portuguese. You may even have the opportunity to study in a bilingual program and become fluent in two languages!
The requirements for Applying for English medium programmes depend on the university, program and specialization. Normally, EU universities require international IELTS or TOEFL certificates confirming proficiency in English.
Education in Europe is highly subsidized; Europeans enjoy either no tuition fees or very affordable fees for higher education programs. While Non-EU students are usually charged either full tuition fees, no fees (full scholarship) or moderate fees depending on the program, institution (State or Private), educational agent and country.
