Her çocuklukta bir bahçe saklıdır.
Renklerin daha parlak, havanın daha yumuşak olduğu, sabahların mis gibi koktuğu büyülü bir bahçe...

Eşsiz bir heyecanın, ideallerin, sevgi ve emeğin harcı olduğu, okul kavramını en geniş, sorumluluk duygusunu en derin anlamlarında hissederek kurduğum ve yıllardır onurla liderliğini yaptığım Pinoko Işıl ve TEIS’i bir sonraki adımına uğurlama günü geldi benim için.

Yıllar boyunca sevgi ve özenle sahiplendiğim binlerce mezunumun, öğrencimin bana verdiği kıvançla yazıyor olsam da vedalaşmak zor! Hele de bir tercih değil de bir zorunluluk olduğunda.

Onlar benim yaşamım, yaşam biçimim oldu. Kuruluşlarından başlayalarak, sıradışı birer öyküdür okullarımız. Tutkuyla şevkati, azimle anlayışı, ilkeyle sevdayı buluşturan. Çocuğuyla, velisiyle, çalışanıyla, kocaman bir ailenin birbirini anlaya saya devşirdiği yılların birikimi ve paydaşlığı ile bezenmiş. İçinde değeri hiç bir şeyle ölçülemeyecek sayısız armağanı barındırır: Nice başarılar, nice unutulmaz anlar, birbirinden değerli anılar, sınırsız ve hesapsız sevgi, hiç örselenmemiş bir saygı...

Tam 32 yıl boyunca, biz hep çocuklarımız için var olduk. Onlar kozalarından çıkan renk renk kelebekler olsunlar diye bilgiyi emek ve yaratıcılıkla şekillendirerek; daha iyi bir bir toplumda, barış ve anlayışla bezenmiş bir dünyaya büyüsünler diye inançla yaptık işimizi. Öğrenmenin çoşkusu, keşfetmenin heyecanı, merak etmenin kışkırtıcılığı ile her bir çocuğumuzun gelişiminden ayrı ayrı heyecan duyarak böyle kocaman bir aile ve daima mutlu bir yuva olduk. Burada başardıklarımızla, sisteme çok şey kattık, pek çok ilke imza attık. Hedeflerimiz, ilkelerimiz ve eserlerimiz derin ve değerli izler bıraktı. Her öğrencimizin tek ve özel olduğunu bilerek, onlara yol gösterirken en çok onlardan öğrenerek ilerledik. Düşlerimiz onların gerçeklerinde, gelişim serüvenlerinde şekillendi ve son 10 yıldır artık onların çocukları öğrencilerimiz olmaya başladılar. Bu nasıl bir sevinç, nasıl bir kıvanç bilseniz!...

Sevgili Çocuklarım, Mezunlarım; yolunuz açık, şansınız engin olsun. Bu ilk yuvanızdan sonra uğradığınız her limanda aydınlık sabahlara uyanın. Önünüzde harika bir yaşam var, nice güzel yıllara daima mutlu ve umutlu uzanın. Güvenle yürüyün yarınlara.
Bıraktığınız anılar, tattırdığınız eşsiz duygular, kattığınız renkler için, güne coşku, yarınlara ümit olduğunuz için hepinizi teşekkürlerimle kucaklıyorum.

Çocuklarının gelişimlerine katkıda bulunma fırsatı verdikleri; güven ve yapıcı desteklerini esirgemedikleri için Değerli Velilerime,

Beni böyle kıvançlı, Pinokyo Işıl ve TEIS’i üstün ve öncü kılan emekleri için tüm Öğretmenlerime ve her sorumluluk seviyesindeki Mesai Arkadaşıma ayrı ayrı ve bütün kalbimle teşekkür ederim.

Varlığıyla onur duyduğum bu iki kurum, bundan böyle Açı Yönetimi’nde daha da ileriye gidecek. Bütün kalbimle başarılar diliyorum. Yıllar köklerini daha derine, kanatlarını daha da yükseklere ulaştırsın.

There is a garden in every childhood, an enchanted place where colours are brighter, the air softer, and the morning more fragrant than ever again. ~E. Lawrence.

The day has come for me see off both Pinokyo Işıl and TEIS to their next steps. The schools I have founded with incomparable enthusiasm, ideals, love and labour, with the deepest feelings of responsibility. The most possible comprehensive and inclusive definition of an educational institution; the schools I have led with honour and pride.

Although I am now writing to you taking pride in the thousands of graduates and students whom I have taken care of with love, it is difficult to say farewell! Moreover, when it is not a choice but an obligation.

They have become my life, my lifestyle. Starting off with their foundation, the stories of each of our schools are extraordinary. A combination of passion and compassion, enthusiasm and understanding, principles and love. A big family with children, parents and staff, an accumulation of years after years with understanding and mutual respect. Years full of countless gifts, the inherent value of which could not be compared to and measured with anything: so many success stories, so many unforgettable moments, so many invaluable memories, unlimited and unconditional love, untarnished respect...

We have always been there for our children over the past 32 years. We have worked relentlessly in full faith moulding know-how with hard work and creativity so that they turn into butterflies of different colours as they leave their cocoon, so that they grow in a better society, into a world embellished with peace and understanding. We have become one big family and have always been a happy home, enthused by each and every one of our children’s development, thanks to the joy of learning, the excitement of discovery and the provocation of curiosity. We have contributed greatly to the system with our achievements, we have signed under many firsts. Our objectives, principles and work have left their deep, lasting and valuable marks. In full consciousness of the fact each and every one of our students are unique and special, we have learnt a lot from them as we have been guiding them. Our dreams have found shape in their realities, their own adventures of development and now, for the past ten years their children have been coming to us as students. You cannot imagine what a great joy and pride this is for us!

My Dear Children and Graduates; may your path be clear and your luck be infinite. I hope you wake up to bright mornings in every single harbour that you dock after your first home. A wonderful life awaits you, I hope you reach out to many more good years with joy and hope. Walk into the future in full confidence.
I embrace each and every one of you with heartfelt thanks for the memories you have left with me, for the incomparable sentiments you have made me feel, the colours you have added to my life, for having filled me up with enthusiasm every new day and for being our hope for the days to come.

I would like to thank My Esteemed Parents for having given me the opportunity to contribute to their children’s development and for their confidence and constructive support.

All of My Staff as well as All of My Colleagues at all levels with all my heart for their valuable efforts making me so proud and for making our schools such superior and pioneering institutions.

These institutions that I feel proud of their existence will go even further under the management of Açı Schools. I wish them most heartfelt success. May years help the schools take roots even deeper and wings even higher.

Huge Congratulations to all of our children for amazing end of year show full of confidence and joy. We are so proud of all of you. Thank you also to all of our wonderful teachers for their hard work, creativity, dedication and love. Photographs coming soon!

So much fun with dancing, games, crowns, and ice cream. One of the children kept looking at the stairs and finally said.. "When will the Queen come to her party?"
