On January 8 (18 Dey), millions of Iranians took to the streets to protest against the Islamic Republic regime. In response, the regime opened fire on unarmed civilians, using live ammunition and military weapons to suppress the demonstrations. In less than two weeks, more than 60,000 people were reportedly killed. This constitutes a clear crime against humanity.

The world must no longer remain silent in the face of the Islamic Republic’s crimes. Stand with the people of Iran and be on the right side of history.

The people of Iran no longer want the Islamic Republic. This regime rules through the force of bullets and violence. Millions of Iranians filled the streets and chanted the name of Prince Reza Pahlavi. We call on world leaders to meet with Prince Reza Pahlavi, as the only figure trusted by the people of Iran and the official representative of the Iranian people, and to consult with him about the future of Iran.

پشتون‌ها از نظر نژادی جزو اقوام ایرانی‌تبارِ شرقی محسوب می‌شن. یعنی از نسلِ گروه‌هایی از مردم آریایی هستن که هزاران سال پیش در امتداد کوه‌های هندوکش و سلیمان، در مناطقِ افغانستان و پاکستانِ فعلی ساکن شدن. زبانشون، پشتو، هم ریشه با زبان‌هایی مثل فارسی و کردیه، اما از شاخهٔ شرقیِ اون.

قدمت قوم پشتون بر اساس شواهد زبان‌شناسی و تاریخی، ریشه‌های اون‌ها به عنوان بخشی از اقوام ایرانی‌تبارِ شرقی، دست‌کم به حدود ۲۵۰۰ تا ۳۰۰۰ سال پیش برمی‌گرده.
نام‌هایی شبیه به «پشتون» یا «پختون» در متون یونانِ باستان مثل تاریخِ هرودوت (قرن ۵ پیش از میلاد) هم ذکر شده که احتمالاً اشاره به همین قوم داره.
