If you are finding the listening or reading section challenging or generally have limits on vocabulary ragne, especially medical English, then you need to surround yourself as much as possible with medical English.
All the doctors that I teach OET preparation to are told the importance of reading articles, listening to podcasts, watching medical documentaries ect…. I am posting a few links to UK television programs/series that you can watch...If you are planning to work in the UK, they will also give you an insight on how the NHS operates.. Some of them are new, some are a few years old, however still VERY useful.

Listening section - I know that many find this sub section quite challlenging. Practising test after test will not help you to improve your scores quickly. Especially if Part C is your biggest challenge. You need to develop a wider range of language.... listening skills and vocabularly in order to hear and understand the content. Surround yourself as much as possible with medically related articiles, podcasts or documentaries. Below in the comments I have postsed several links to useful videos created by OET (official). They are posted section by section...

Hello there.. Welcome to old and new members. 🙂 For anyone who doesn't know me, I am the admin of this group. My name is Allison (Ally), a clincian from the UK , with approximately 14 years past experience working within the NHS. I have been successfully teaching doctors and other medical professionals OET preparation for more than 13 years, so I know this exam and what is required to pass, very well. You can read reviews here from past doctors https://www.facebook.com/share/p/19VLKyYwHp/ . During my time within the NHS I also sat on different job interview panels and now use this experience to advise and guides doctors on how to create a good cv/resume, match their job application according to the job description and prepare for their NHS job interview. For further information you can contact me via this page.
