Subject-verb agreement [present tenses]
Subject: who/what the sentence is about.
Verb: action in the sentence.

Subjects and verbs must agree in number:
1. Singular subjects take singular verbs
2. Plural subjects take plural verbs

How to use the verb "get" in English?

There are many different meanings of "get":

1. Get = acquire, buy, take
- I'll get a new phone.
- I got my computer at the Apple store.

2. Get = receive
- I got some clothes for my birthday.

3. Get = bring
- I'll get my phone from the desk.

4. Get = score
- I got the highest mark in the exam.

5. Get = become
- It's getting hot in here! Can you open the window, please.
- Please don't get angry with me

6. Get = arrive
- I'll get there in no time.
- He got to work late yesterday.

7. Get = cause someone to do something
- Mom, can you get my father to buy me a new computer? I really need it.

In this video, I'm going to introduce you to phrasal verbs and the two major points that you need in order to learn phrasal verbs.

Understanding phrasal verbs needs a lot of understanding of the meaning [literal meaning or idiomatic meaning] as well as the grammar of the phrasal verb [separable or inseparable].
