Here is a nice website for that after-lunch class when you all want to avoid sleeping 😴 , have some fun and warm up a little bit!

This website is great for practicing and learning items randomly in English. It is proper for and if you asked me. B1 would be the level that I would safely choose to play this game in class. Some curious little A2 level student might also find this game fun if they are a little bit adventurous!

Use it! Have fun and give me a like to reach more teachers like you! 😉🙃

You can find the full video on my YouTube channel to find out about all the games you could play as icebreakers and warm-up activities in your own classes!

Giving feedback to adults has always been easier for me because I never try to fake it!
However, with kids it can be a bit tricky!
I usually find myself smiling too much! Sometimes I overreact or exaggerate when I give feedback on a fine piece of homework or an ordinary craft!

Kids are also humanbeings! They totally get it when we fake it and the result is just catastrophic!

Also, when you want to calm a sad kid down, remember that the key is to make them distracted and then breathe!
However, the game changer here would be to find an indirect way of making them breathe!

It always works better if you have a paper windmill and you feel like watching it spin when you face a sad kid than to directly ask them to breathe with you like a medic!

PS. To watch the full video take a look at my YouTube channel!

In order to teach vocabulary to either young learners or adults we need to go through these 3 steps as we said before:

1. Teach the meaning
2. Teach how it is pronounced
3. Teach how it is written (form)

It is also known as in the world. And in this video You can find a dynamic activity that will make your kids not only think, process and produce the written form of the words but also have the time of their lives while doing so!

We will mix the use of game-based platforms and and will see the magic of classic whiteboard markers and a simple in reality!

Quick note:
👉If you want to check the meaning, ask them to tell the answers in groups when a quizziz question pops up!

👉If your focus is on the written form, nobody is allowed to tell! Everybody should write their answers and hold it up in the given time!

👉Don’t forget toilet paper or tissues! They will kill themselves if they don’t have time to wipe their board!

This post is a teaser for my latest 😼 :

While I was teaching I came across this which helped me practise the form ( the words are written in English) with my Primary class.

In this video first I will review the steps of to young learners and then I present the idea of , how I make them for any class and mix using them with game-based platforms!

Remember to first learn and master how to play games on platforms like Kahoot, Quizziz and Nearpod and then try to use this method to avoid complications. (There are videos on my YouTube channel that can help you)

In this activity my focus is on showing the questions through a game-based platform and seeing the answers written on these portable easy-to-make whiteboards but that doesn’t mean that if you don’t have a smart board or you are not connected to the internet you cannot still enjoy playing.

Become creative! You can even play this game with your good old flashcards but your students will need to write the word you show them on their portable whiteboards. Making these whiteboards are easier than you think watch the video and you will know what to do.

Have you also come to this realization that flipped learning is not always the best option for our online sessions?

Well, in many cases I see that even with the best instructions, guidance, clarifying the blocking vocabulary items, engaging, format of the task and technology my students still struggle with the reading/listening tasks that could well be done out of a flipped session to make room for more interactive tasks during the synchronous session.

The tendency for going with the new trends in the ELT world had made me forget the fact that some students' needs are different from what is said to be right or even what has worked a couple of times.

As a teacher I believe the fact that I can be desicive with the method/way that I choose to transfer data to my students, is exactly what makes me A TEACHER!

What do you struggle with in your online classes right now? Is flipped learning working for you? (No judgement, please just share your experience)
