: Originally from the coast of Turkey, I have lived abroad most of my life. I try hard not to lose my cultural identity and go back to my hometown every year. Cultural identity starts with family, big reunions and lots of food. Nothing makes me feel more at home than eating my country’s food. My favourite dish which reminds me of home is a simple stuffed mussel dish (Midye Dolma). The this dish gives me is priceless. The main reason is we have this dish every time during big family reunions with lots of laughter and conviviality… and of course because the taste is incredible.
