Great News!for beginners!! The Ihsan Institute for Arabic language, Quran and Islamic studies in Istanbul is offering a level 0 to level 2 Arabic course which is available on line through skype by the will of Allah. The course will cover the famous conversational book Kitab al Asasi level 1 which will begin with correct Arabic writing, letters and joining words then entering into conversational Arabic using the fus Ha language of the Quran. The course will be taught by experienced Arabic teachers. At the end of the course the student should be able to converse in different real life situations depending on the effort put in by the student. The course will be 2 hrs per day 5 days a week monday to friday , at 3.15pm Istanbul time live with sessions recoreded insha Allah. The cost is just 45$ per month there will be a Quran class on Fridays and the student will be tested at the end of the book in which if completed the student will receive a certificate from The Ihsaan Institute. IHSAAN INSTITUTE for Arabic, Quran and Islamic Studies in Istanbul Turkey is announcing a new Certificate 4 course in Islamic studies. The course will be done in English only. The subjects that will be covered are Tawheed, Tajweed, Purifacation of the Soul, Jurispudence , answering the misconceptions and Dawah.
This course will be 4 hours a day, mon - thurs held at The Ihsaan Institute Fatih Istanbul Turkey . By the will of Allah There will be additional lectures and lessons held outside of class time as well in seerah and other subjects. The teachers will be Zainadine Johnson , Shiekh Ahmed Badawy Egyptian and possibly one other soon to be announced. the course will last for 3 months beginning the first week of September and finishing the First Week of December. The fees will be 725 Euros for the total 3 months which will include dormitory style accommodation (for singles) and lessons.A certificate will be given to each student at the end of the course if they completed the number of hours. course is open for males and females. In conjunction with some generous brothers and sisters from various parts of the world the I.I.S.G International Islamic Support Group managed to bring a smile to many faces and families this Ramadan with the Ramadan Box project . Boxes of food items were distributed throughout Ramadan to needy families, orphans, cancer patients and others who were in need this Ramadan in an effort to make life just that little easier for those who are struggling in these hard and confusing days. Summer is finally here in Istanbul Turkey and what a beautiful summer it is alhumdulil Allah!! 20 students left their homes and families from different parts of the world with one vision, seeking knowledge and adventure at the Ihsaan institute.

The planes arrived and the students poured in one after another we greeted them at the airport. After a small introduction and site seeing of the area we got down to what everyone really came for? The classes!!

The first month was intensive, reading , writing , new words , new sounds , new phrases , new faces, 5 days a week 5 hours a day as promised and Shiekh Abu Mahmood was at his best with his thorough teaching skills. Many students also took advantage of the free Quran classes with shiekh Ahmad our Egyptian scholar and many even went that extra yard and booking private Quran classes an hour a day with him to improve their Quran skills . Barak Allah fee him. As one student Hussain explained " it is as if my whole life is in the path of Allah and seeking his knowledge"

At the end of the first month it was time for a real adventure , We packed our bags and sleeping bags and headed to Lake Abant on a camping adventure. Lake Abant being one of Turkey’s most beautiful landscapes a few hours away from Ankara was all that was expected . We climbed the 1km mountain what seemed like to be the top of the world , rode horses , fished , collected wood , had a bomb fire, sat around the fire telling stories and drinking tea, then we called it a night sleeping under a billion stars , something you don’t see in cities these days. On the way back we stopped at lake Sapanca for a Turkish BBQ on its shore and a refreshing swim in the beautiful fresh water lake that stretched as far as the eye could see. Simply amazing and all for 120 lira . ( around 60 u.s dollars) food and transport included.

Meanwhile the sisters enjoyed a supervised family picnic and function in the woods just out of Istanbul with the many foreign and Turkish sisters who are calling Istanbul home.

After a great adventure it was time to get back into the books and lessons and once again the real reason for being here, learning Arabic!

After a couple of weeks our old friend visited us, Ramadan! There is something special about Ramadan but even more special in Istanbul . After the sighting of the moon the institute made intention and we began fasting with the Turkish people.

Taraweeh is something different in Turkey. Those who have had contact with Turkish mosques in Ramadan will know that they love their speedy and short rakat’s however from the blessing of Allah for those who love slower and longer prayers there are a number of mosques around who are reading at a steady pace and finishing one juz of the Quran each night with excellent tajweed , one of them being in the most magnificent mosque built by the Ottomans over 500 years ago with an amazing view just 5 minutes walk from the institute . ( Sisters were welcome) The fasting has been long days from 3.30 in the morning until 8.45 pm however the institute has has some wonderful iftar’s every friday as a group with teachers putting on the iftar and students sharing during the week . Also some of the local mosques have been holding iftar for the students of knowledge and they are offering some of the best meals in town. Allahu akbar!!! Even the local council has been holding iftar in the streets , closing of the road and offering a variety of boxed foods from their generosity.

All this and we are only half way through the summer course , who knows what the next half has install for us all??

Starting from the first week of June The IHSAAN Institute will be running a number of classes and activities that will help you in this world and the next!!!!

1. Summer Quran course 3 months .
Learn Quran from Qualified Syrian and Egyptian Quran Scholars. The course will include full comfortable accommodation , Memorization , Pronunciation, Tajweed, Learning to read correctly (tilawa) ( any level) tafseer and more. Classes are segregated , Male teachers and scholars for men and women teachers and scholars for women. All teachers hold ijaza in Quran, male/female accommodation separate. five days a week , more available at your request.

2. 3 month Intensive Arabic course.
In a classroom environment starting from level 0 The student will study 5 days a week completing a basic course in the widely used Arabic book kitab al Asasi. The student will begin from level 0 and reach an intermediate level of Arabic able to communicate in different real life situations like the airport the bank the restaurant the market place etc. He or she will also be able to hold a basic conversation with other Arab speakers. The course is open to male and female students ( fully segregated classrooms). The course includes accommodation ( fully separate and segregated) and is taught by qualified specialist Syrian and Egyptian Teachers and scholars.

3. 4 month Islamic studies Arabic course
Using the Mohammed bin Saud Islamic university books , beginning in the first week of June this course is open to students who have attained a basic to intermediate communication level of Arabic and want to build upon that focusing on Islamic sharia subjects . The course includes subjects such as Writing, reading , expression, Tawheed, Hadith , Fique , Tafseer , Grammar, Sarf Tajweed and more . The object of the course is for the student to attain the language of Quran Arabic Fus ha on a Sharia level ,understanding certain terms, and important lessons of sharia. The student is expected to come out of the course with an advanced level of Arabic with a good understanding of certain subjects relating to the knowledge of Islam. The course will be taught by specialized scholars in each field and the student will receive a certificate from the institute upon completion of the final exam. The course is open to male and female students. ( fully separated and segregated classrooms)

4. Explanations of books for those who's Arabic is at a high level there will be opportunities to attain ijaza in books of tawheed and Aqeeda , usul al fique , Tajweed , hadith and more. !!!!!
