From the 29th of January till the 4th of February, the Erasmus+ Contact-Making Seminar took place in Murzasichle, Poland. I was lucky enough to take part in it and it was really amazing, but let's start from the beginning!

This contact-making seminar brought NGOs
working on capacity building for educators and
educators themselves from different
backgrounds in order to meet together and reflect
and review how to strengthen our capacities in
human rights education and intercultural learning
in order to address the current challenges of
nowadays.

We were lucky enough to be accommodated in the Tatra Mounts in the middle of the snowy winter. The whole journey was a snowy paradise - it was snowing every day, and the view was amazing and gorgeous. Luckily, not all of our activities were inside as we went for a task hunt on the first day, moreover, we had a free day which we used to go to the city of Zakopane and climb the Gubalowka mountain. Last but not least, on our second to last day we had a horse ride in the evening during the blizzard, it was unbelievable!

Most importantly, all of us had to cooperate and write a draft of Erasmus+ project, I was lucky enough to be a part of a really creative team that worked on Gender Equality type of project.

All in all, I have to thank Fundacja Active Kids for the best week all winter long!

From the 28th of March till the 4th of April an Erasmus+ Youth Worker Mobility took place in Szeged, Hungary. The topic of mobility was Sports as the measure of inclusion. This Training Course united people from Lithuania, Greece, North Macedonia, Romania, Italy, Spain and Croatia.

"It was an amazing experience for me. I have met a lot of new people from different countries, I have learned a lot about new cultures and most importantly I have broadened my horizons on the topics of inclusion and sportsmanship" - says Yuriy Solovyov, the participant from the Lithuanian Team.

In order to share the knowledge that we have gained during the youth worker mobility, we have decided to organize a webinar which took place on the 28th of July through Zoom. We have invited University students, people who are actively taking part in Erasmus+ projects, and young people from Lithuania. We had 11 participants in total.

During the webinar, we shared the goals and objectives of the project with the results that we have achieved, along with our personal experiences.

We spoke about the definition of sportsmanship and we have also explained to the participants how is it possible to include people with fewer opportunities in sports activities. A perfect example of privileges that some people have over others was the game that we played where the organizers divided the participants of the youth worker mobility into 2 teams, where one team had to throw a ball into a bigger box, while the other team had to do the same with a way smaller box and both teams competed between one another to win.

We encouraged the participants to be more inclusive in their lives, we have shown them some videos that we had to record during the mobility that showcased bad situations, where people refused to do sports with people with fewer opportunities.

All of us have agreed that our actions in sports activities represent our views and beliefs in the world

Thank you Salus Populi Alapítvány, for the ability to take part in this exchange.
