Not everything below 1 µm should be treated as nanofiber.
In today’s filtration market, “nano” is often used loosely — and sub-micron structures are sometimes presented as if they deliver the same effect as true nanofiber media.
They do not.
~800 nm and ~150–300 nm are not a minor variation.
They represent different structures — and different filtration behavior.
If the structure changes, the effect changes.
And when the expected nanofiber effect is not there, performance expectations can quickly become misleading.
The real question is not whether a media sits below 1 µm.
The real question is whether it delivers the effect expected from true nanofiber engineering.
